Pinterest in the Classroom

The best way for teachers to gain new ideas is by collaboration. The Pinterest site is a way teachers can collaborate without begin face to face. Teachers can get ideas from other teachers from around the world and also share their own ideas. Using Pinterest in the classroom is another tool in the teacher tool box for planning and organizing lesson plans and future ideas.

I created a "Wanted" poster for the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The goal of this assignment is for the students to use their knowledge of the character, stetting and plot of the story to sequence the events of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.


After reading the story, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, as a group, we will discuss which character is the "Wanted" character.

Assignment and Rubric

Step 1: You will color and cut out the characters and the elements of the story from your coloring sheets.

 Step 2: You will create a "WANTED" poster with 6 different sections:

• Crime
• Last Seen
• Picture and Name of Criminal
• Sequence of Events
• Victims
• Description of Victim

Step 3: Under "WANTED" glue your colored and cut out picture of the criminal with their name.

Step 4: Under your "Crime" section, place the events of Goldilocks' crime in an order of first to last. Under each picture, describe the crime in a complete sentence.

Step 5: Under you "Last Seen" section, place your colored and cut picture of where the Three Bears last saw Goldilocks.

Step 6: Under your "Victims" section, you will place your colored and cut picture of each victim withe their names below their picture. 

Step 7: Under your "Description" section, you will list three things that describe Goldilocks.

Step 8: Under the "Sequence of Events" section, you will list the order of events in the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
